Allied Universal, CHANNAHON, IL, is seeking a Security Officer Credential Systems to safeguard clients, manage site entry, verify badges, and maintain access control. You will monitor entry points, respond to alarms, and provide courteous service during night shifts.

This full-time role requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work a night schedule across Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Thu 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM,

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization and credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain access-related records.
• Control access for deliveries, vendors, and contractors, directing individuals to check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and security concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner per established protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter to support site security operations.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization and credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access for deliveries, vendors, and contractors, communicating entry requirements and directing individuals to designated check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and support site security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
