Job summary

Allied Universal in Kenova, WV is seeking a Security Officer Badge Verification to protect our clients across a chemical/petrochemical site. You will manage entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and respond to security concerns with clear communication and customer service.

This full-time position offers steady shifts (Mon–Fri, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM) and opportunities for growth, with access to our smart tools, training, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized access, unusual conditions, and security-related concerns.
• Support compliance with facility entry requirements, including visitor screening, vehicle access procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements as directed by site policy.

Pay Rate: $13.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
