What You'll Do:
- Provide a welcoming, professional front desk presence for visitors, members, staff, and guests at a cultural institution while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Verify visitor access, issue and collect credentials as applicable, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access requirements in a courteous manner.
- Monitor entry activity, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual conditions or concerns according to established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Support a respectful environment for worship, cultural programming, events, and daily operations by providing clear directions and maintaining professional communication.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
