Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed at our Santa Clara, CA site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, enabling flexible income and hands-on security experience.

Responsibilities include monitoring access control, responding to incidents, patrolling interior and exterior areas, and delivering professional customer service to employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and data infrastructure location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access control systems, visitor activity, and delivery activity; verify authorization in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications, and promptly report observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Verification in Santa Clara, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.84 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat – 04:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Sun – 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
