Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Verification in Santa Clara, CA. This role provides flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $25.50 per hour. The position supports part-time employment with potential pathways to a full-time schedule, including onboarding through paid training and access to real-time shift visibility tools.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred experience with access control and badge systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Verification in Santa Clara, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred: Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Preferred: Customer service experience.
• Preferred: Experience with alarm panels.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
