Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced at Santa Clara, CA. The role offers flexible fixed shifts with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $22.55 per hour with a schedule that includes day and weekend shifts. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a background in security, with license/guard card preferred. The position includes growth and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, check credentials as directed, document visitor and vehicle activity, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, offices, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Guard Card Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
