Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Mountain View, CA. This role offers a fixed anchor shift with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, entrances and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization and assist with directing guests.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports and communicate observations to leadership and site representatives.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol License Readiness in Mountain View, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.87 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Saturday 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational arts location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and assist with directing guests in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, communicating observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
