Job summary

Allied Universal Costa Mesa is seeking a Security Officer Dispatch Control Center to safeguard clients across multiple industries. You will coordinate communications, document incidents, and support timely responses in a dynamic, overnight shift environment. This role offers a full-time schedule with a competitive hourly rate.

You will monitor activity, maintain records, and provide excellent customer service while helping deter incidents at the Costa Mesa site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarms, and other communications, documenting and dispatching information to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communications with site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, visitor information, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor activity across the location through available systems and communications, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
