Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors per site procedures and access control policies.
• Monitor access points, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Screen personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and contractor equipment; report any security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Controlled Access Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.
• Screen personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and contractor equipment as required, reporting unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
