Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and report access-control concerns and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events calmly and coordinate with campus personnel or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:15 AM - 02:45 PM
• Tue: 06:15 AM - 02:45 PM
• Fri: 06:15 AM - 02:45 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and report access-control concerns, facility issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
