As a full-time Screener, you will work a schedule including night shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be at least 18; background checks and a drug screen apply where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while enforcing site procedures.

• Monitor screening equipment and report suspicious items or issues to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of shipping, receiving, sorting, parking and perimeter areas.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Badge and X Ray Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and property, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen packages, freight, vehicles, and individuals in accordance with established access-control and screening protocols.
• Monitor screening equipment and report suspicious items, prohibited materials, access concerns, and other security-related issues to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of shipping, receiving, sorting, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
