Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer Screening Monitor. You will monitor access points, perform X-ray and package screening, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will deliver professional customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers and follow site procedures. This full-time role offers a pay rate of $17.22 per hour and a daytime schedule with weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Must be able to lift and carry items as needed.
• Must be willing to undergo a drug screen and licensing checks as required.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Monitor in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will support security-related screening operations by monitoring access points, conducting X-ray and package screening, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will communicate professionally with team members and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and authorized deliveries in accordance with site procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and documentation as required, and report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including shipping, receiving, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
