Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer (Armed) in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with anchor shifts and optional extra shifts to increase earnings. You will enforce site rules, respond to emergencies, and maintain a visible security presence at a healthcare location.

Salary is $21.82 per hour. The position supports part‑time scheduling with opportunities to advance through paid training and internal programs.

• Background check and drug screen may be required.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Healthcare in Fort Lauderdale, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.82 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, corrections and military experience.
• Guard card is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
