Allied Universal in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a part-time Armed Security Officer for a medical facility. You will protect patients, staff, and visitors, perform security procedures, monitor access, and respond to emergencies with calm professionalism.

This role requires at least 1 year of armed security experience, a valid guard card, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screens. The position offers a flexible schedule with Friday and Saturday shifts and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, coordinating with facility personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting incidents and actions taken, and maintain firearms-related qualifications and equipment.

Pay Rate: $21.82 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate facility personnel and public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken, and maintain required firearms-related qualifications and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
