Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, donors, and patients by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a healthcare facility.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas per site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Operations in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
