Allied Universal in Coral Springs, FL is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a part-time inspection role at a government healthcare location. You will patrol, monitor access points, deter incidents, and respond to emergencies with professional communication and teamwork.

Requirements include minimum 1 year armed security or related experience, a valid guard card, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and others by executing security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and security concerns following established protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, assist with access control and visitor directions, and report unusual activity.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain documentation per site policies.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.82 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures, visitor directions, and the reporting of unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 1year armed security, law enforcement, corrections, and military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
