• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and others by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical facility-related concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, patient, and staff access procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, following Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.


• A valid armed guard card or license is required.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
