Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Security Officer in Austin, Texas for full-time weekend shift coverage at Seton Northwest Hospital. The role focuses on proactive threat monitoring, incident documentation, and adherence to alarm and disaster procedures to safeguard staff and patients.

The position requires maintaining safety, assisting visitors, and operating a vehicle safely as needed. A Texas driver license and relevant credentials are expected within 4 months of hire.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Drivers License credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Law Enforcement obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Security Professional credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s)

• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
