Job Description

This position ensures that all hotel guests, associates, and property are maintained in a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.
• Answer house calls to assist guests and associates with safety, security, and hotel operations.
• Initiate and follow up on investigations of crimes against property and persons.
• Assist sick or injured guests or associates, ensuring all documentation, reporting, and witness statements are completed promptly.
• Conduct investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their conclusion, and follow up with involved parties, documenting all contacts.
• Maintain accurate records, including camera monitoring, shift activity logs, codebook, and interactions.
• Monitor and distribute visitor and vendor access, including issuing visitor badges.
• Perform bag checks for associates leaving the property.
• Escort and interact with special guests requiring privacy when entering/exiting the hotel through designated areas.
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive guest or associate issues.
• Assist in checking alarm, safety, and fire systems, and monitor security of building doors, service areas, delivery zones, and grounds.
• Support hotel management during emergencies by knowing safety procedures and leading guests and staff to safety.
• Supervise pool area, working in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by LP and Rooms Division Management.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security, loss prevention, or customer service experience involving guest interaction and resolution.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including via email, phone, and radio.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and follow up on guest requests.
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and service recovery skills.
• Ability to reach various hotel areas quickly.
• Ability to complete incident reports and participate in investigations effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment on sensitive matters.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures, including supervision of pool activity.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, reach overhead, kneel, and use stairs; stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
