Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi is seeking a Security Officer to protect guests, employees, and property. You will escort and observe individuals, report incidents, and assist in emergencies while upholding service standards.

Responsibilities include enforcing age verification for 21+ patrons, maintaining access controls, and supporting gaming table openings/closings. A high school diploma and MS Gaming License preferred. Flexible schedule and ability to work in a smoky environment are required.

Qualifications

• Comfort with wearing radio earpieces and adhering to memos/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as dispatcher during emergencies and coordinate solutions.
• Inform outside agencies of unusual/suspicious activity.
• Operate company vehicles as directed and transport monies securely.
• Assist in opening/closing gaming tables and maintain access controls.
• Support guest service and uphold Hard Rock values.
• Attend departmental meetings and communicate information across departments.
• Request IDs from individuals under 21 to ensure gaming compliance.

Job description

Assists, if needed, with written reports regarding security-related incidents involving guests, employees and/or the property.

Escorts and observes guests and employees to ensure their safety and protection.

Identifies potential safety hazards and reports same to the appropriate individual for proper resolution.

Knows hazardous materials used on property and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing same.

Serves as dispatcher during emergency situations, as needed, and coordinates solutions.

Inform outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property.

Operates company vehicles as directed.

Ensures safe transportation of company monies and gaming tokens.

Assists in the opening and closing of gaming tables.

Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained throughout the property. Lives by the Hard Rock values.

Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.

Maintains a series of keys to access locked areas, as necessary.

Requests and accept identification from all people who appear to be under the age of 21 to ensure compliance with federal and state gaming regulations.
