Job summary

Hard Rock Biloxi is seeking a customer‑focused bartender/server to greet guests, take beverage orders, and deliver drinks with a smile. The role requires 21+, clear English communication, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced casino environment.

Responsibilities include observing guests, checking IDs, serving both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks, and maintaining a clean, stocked bar. Prior waitstaff experience is preferred; flexibility for nights, weekends, and events is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and able to communicate clearly in English.
• Excellent guest service skills and ability to work under fast-paced conditions.
• Previous waitress experience preferred in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Observe guests to respond to their needs and upsell beverages.
• Take beverage orders and relay to bartender; assist in drink preparation.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with accuracy and speed.
• Check IDs when needed and maintain responsible beverage service.
• Keep service area clean and stocked; handle money accurately and securely.
• Interact with guests using their names and promote casino events and programs.

Job description

• Observes guests to respond to their needs.
• Follows alcohol awareness procedures regarding company's responsible beverage service, monitors guest consumption, and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
• Takes beverage orders and communicates it to bartender.
• Assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests.
• Serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to casino guests.
• Requests ID from customers when legal age is questionable.
• Removes empty or dirty glasses and bottles and returns them to bar or kitchen.
• Keeps service area stocked and cleaned.
• Provides fast, exceptional service and receives satisfaction comments on internal shops.
• Handles money according to procedure and secures all monies at the end of each shift.
• Maintains quick and prompt service while maintaining a smile.
• Maintains round times of 20 minutes or less on Casino Floor for drink service.
• Carries full trays of no more than 20 drinks on tray.
• Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
• Serves as an ambassador of goodwill while working and at guest and public relation functions.
• Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor.
• Resolves service problems according to guidelines.
• Provides personalized service and uses guest name.
• Speaks positively when talking with guests and co-workers.
• Promotes casino events and programs.
• Accepts consequences of not adhering to departmental standards, which may include discipline up to and including termination.

• Must be 21 years of age.

• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by Hard Rock policy.

• Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
