Job summary

CGL Facility Management, LLC provides contract facility maintenance services. The Locksmith role focuses on skilled repair and service of locks, electronic access equipment, and related hardware across commercial sites, with duties spanning preventive/corrective maintenance, card readers, and key control.

You will document work in CMMS, stay current on technologies, and may mentor junior staff while ensuring OSHA and client standards are met. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year locksmith experience in commercial environments preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Completes all CMMS documentation as required.
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and customer service focus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Licenses/certifications as required by local, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and/or corrective maintenance on locks, locking controls, doors, and other equipment per work orders.
• Installs, repairs and maintains pneumatic locking systems, door sensors, electric doors, and panic devices openers.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains electro-magnetic latching systems; wires and installs card readers.
• Establishes key lock and related systems for controlled access and security.
• Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts locks; checks keys and locks for wear and repairs or replacements.
• Responds to emergency requests regarding lock issues and services per standards.
• Maintains records and completes CMMS documentation; supports quality and OSHA compliance.
• Stays current with locksmith technologies and trends; follows policies and timelines.
• Assists in training other technicians and provides mentorship as needed.
