Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Functional Lead for the Safe & Secure team at HQ facilities. You will supervise Front Desk Associates, coaching and enforcing security and safety protocols to protect people and assets.

You’ll drive incident management, risk assessments and policy adherence across the site while coordinating with internal and external partners. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in physical security or loss prevention and prior supervision, with strong communication and process-improvement

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in physical security operations and/or loss prevention.
• 1+ years experience directly supervising/managing a team.
• Proven ability to coach team members to deliver strong customer service.
• Experience coordinating with diverse stakeholders in a fast growth environment.
• Ability to create and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team and identify opportunities.
• Provide coaching, development and performance management to staff.
• Communicate expectations and goals clearly.
• Maintain a positive, cohesive team environment aligned with Carvana values.
• Lead incident management and risk assessment at HQ facilities.
• Ensure safety compliance with local, state and federal requirements.
• Directly lead Safe & Secure technology, badge access, server room controls and monitoring.
• Record incidents accurately and perform after-action reviews.
• Staff planning to meet KPIs and ensure adequate coverage.
• Engage with leadership and other teams for initiatives and strategy execution.
• Escalate high-risk issues to senior management and propose solutions.
