Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Functional Lead for the Safe & Secure Team at our HQ to supervise front desk security associates, coach staff, and ensure safety compliance. This role drives incident management, policy adherence, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners to protect people and assets.

The ideal candidate will have a background in physical security, loss prevention, and crisis management, with strong communication skills and a drive to uphold Carvana's security

Qualifications

• 3+ years in physical security operations and/or loss prevention.
• 1+ year supervising a team.
• Ability to coach team members to deliver top-notch customer service.
• Effective communication with diverse stakeholders in a fast-growing environment.
• Proactive, results-driven with initiative and flexibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement process improvements.
• Crisis management leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable DMV.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned team and drive performance improvements.
• Coach, develop, and manage team performance with timely feedback.
• Lead incident management and safety programs at HQ facilities.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to uphold security initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal requirements.
• Maintain staffing levels and train employees.
• Monitor badge access, server room controls, and security systems.
