Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Functional Lead to guide the Safe & Secure team at HQ, supervising front desk associates and driving training, coaching, and performance. The role focuses on security programs, incident management, and strong collaboration with internal/external partners to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience in physical security operations and/or loss prevention.
• 1+ years experience directly supervising/managing a team.
• Demonstrated ability to coach team members to deliver a consistent, top-notch customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English, with strong coordination across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team and identify areas for improvement.
• Coach, develop, and manage performance; provide timely feedback.
• Lead incident management at HQ locations and ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and KPIs; recruit and train staff as needed.
• Communicate with internal and external partners; escalate high-risk issues when required.
• Plan and lead safety initiatives and monitor badge access, server room controls, and monitoring alerts.
