Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Guard Experienced Unarmed Patrol to serve clients across government services locations. You will monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $18.87 per hour and requires a NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, residents, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
