Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Escalation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or agency partners by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, maintain awareness of visitor activity, and document incidents, observations, and patrols in accordance with location procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly, respectful environment at a government human services location while following Allied Universal and location-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
