Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Guard NYS Licensed Patrol in NEW YORK, NY. This unarmed security officer role supports a government location, patrolling, monitoring access, and providing excellent customer service.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour. Schedule includes Days and evenings with multiple shifts, delivering professional service and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and residents; follow security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Assist with directions and communicate professionally with residents, staff, visitors, and public-service personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Guard NYS Licensed Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, entrances, and perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Support an orderly environment by providing directions, assisting with non-emergency requests, and communicating professionally with residents, staff, visitors, and public-service personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
