Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a licensed Security Guard for unarmed patrol duties at government services locations. You will monitor sites, deter incidents, assist visitors, and provide professional customer service while following site policies.

The role is full-time with daytime to midnight shifts. A valid NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, and a high school diploma are required, along with background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate services or staff as needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when required.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions through clear and accurate reports, maintaining professional interactions with diverse populations.
