Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Background histories may be considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate services or staff as needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders when required.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions through clear and accurate reports.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
