Job summary

Allied Universal in Manassas, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to monitor and protect client sites across industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and report activities using site procedures.

This role offers flexible weekend night shifts, a pay rate of $22.15 per hour, and opportunities to grow through training and our shift-claim platform. A background check and valid license may be required.

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, entry points, and common areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor visitor and contractor activity, verify access credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate incident and activity documentation.
• Communicate observations and incidents promptly with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as directed by established protocols.
