Allied Universal in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Service to protect employees, visitors and contractors at a technology-focused site.

You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, respond calmly to incidents, and document observations while delivering friendly customer service. This part-time role offers daytime shifts and a $25.00/hour pay rate, with opportunities for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements, reporting access-control irregularities and/or policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and provide clear information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
