Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Driver Patrol Customer Assistance in San Jose, CA. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, and aid in access control at a busy retail/mall location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail areas, parking facilities, corridors, exterior areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity or hazards to site contacts.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and lost-and-found inquiries.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving position requires travel in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, tenant corridors, exterior areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, lost-and-found inquiries, and other security-related support needs in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
