Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communicate observations to site leadership.

As a Security Guard Access Controlin SAN DIEGO, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
