Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Officer / Access Control / Patrol. This full-time role involves unarmed patrols, access control, and customer service for aerospace/defense sites, with a night schedule and a focus on safety and integrity.

Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret Clearance, be 18+ (21+ for armed), possess a high school diploma, and pass background checks and drug screening. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions; licensing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting unusual conditions and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

As a Security Officer / Access Control / Patrolin San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
