Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Afternoon Patrol in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on safeguarding clients, conducting routine patrols, and supporting access control at an aerospace/defense location.

The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance, a high school diploma, and a background check. A drug screen may be required. You’ll work daytime shifts with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, points of access, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and security concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate site contacts and responders as directed.
• Assist with access control and visitor management to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Afternoon Patrol - Active Clearance Required in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support access control and respond professionally to site needs while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring values through teamwork and integrity. Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Pay Rate: $24.61 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations at an aerospace and defense facility.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Assist with access control and visitor management procedures while helping to deter unauthorized activity at the location.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
