Job summary

Allied Universal in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Security Officer with a DoD Top Secret clearance to support an aerospace/defense site. You will patrol unarmed, monitor access, and respond to incidents while providing excellent customer service, in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

This full-time position offers a pay rate of $40.20 per hour, with daytime/evening shifts across the week. Minimum requirements include 1 year of security experience, TS clearance, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience required.
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, and perimeter areas.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, following visitor management procedures, and reporting access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
