Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government facilities, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a government facility.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
