Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.58 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
