Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Control Specialist in El Cajon, CA. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors. Schedule: Fri and Sat 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Pay rate: $19.00 per hour. Requirements include at least 6 months of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening may be required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures.
• Monitor and control access to aerospace and defense location facilities, verify credentials and visitor authorizations.
• Maintain access-control logs, issue and collect visitor credentials, report discrepancies or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Respond to incidents and escalations following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas and access points.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to aerospace and defense location facilities, verifying credentials, visitor authorizations, and entry requirements in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and collect authorized visitor credentials, and report access discrepancies or unauthorized entry attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, access points, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
