Job summary

Four Winds Casino Resort in South Bend, IN seeks a Security Dispatcher to coordinate information among Security Management, Security Officers, Surveillance, other departments, local law enforcement, and EMS. The role supports life and property protection across the property and off-property operations.

You will maintain surveillance knowledge, manage emergency systems, and communicate clearly with guests and staff while prioritizing safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word, Outlook or related software as well as TurboVUi Dispatch and Advantage monitor software packages.
• Strong communication and typing skills required.
• Ability to multi-task is critical as operations will include simultaneous use of surveillance, computer, radio, and emergency equipment in a responsible manner.
• Must be able to work alone with little or no direct supervisor and be able to delegate tasks to other Security Officers within the property.
• Must be able to keep personal and sensitive material or information confidential.
• Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment preferred.
• Must possess excellent observational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a log of all radio and telephone calls into and out of the Security Dispatch Center.
• Assigns Security Officers as needed to detail and requests for personnel from other departments as well as responding outside agencies as needed.
• Receives all incoming calls from guests pertaining to Security matters, guest service issues pertaining to the Security Department and Gaming Commission concerning Security operations.
• Maintains knowledge of all department Policies and Procedures, the Emergency Action Plan, Crisis Communication Plan, as well as standard operating procedures of Local Law Enforcement and Emergency Medical Services as applies to the Casino and its attendant properties.
• Notifies Shift Manager/ Assistant Shift Manager/Floor Supervisor of any pertinent conditions as needed and as directed.
• Promotes positive guest and employee relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
• Monitors all assigned areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.
• Utilizes necessary equipment, to identify, record, document and report illegal, suspicious or unusual activities occurring on property.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.
