Job summary

Base-2 Solutions in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer to lead UI testing and backend debugging for a critical government information system modernization.

You will design test plans for Java-based web apps, validate UI accessibility, perform API tests, and ensure compliance with Section 508/WCAG and federal cybersecurity standards. This role requires US citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Eligible for TS/SCI with CI Polygraph; US citizenship required.
• Experience testing UI web apps with backend troubleshooting.
• Proficient in SQL validation and defect tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and cases for upgrades and features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java web apps.
• Validate UI accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Debug backend logs and perform API testing for services.
• Ensure security controls and data protection are in place.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and security teams.
