Job summary

Base-2 Solutions, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to support the modernization of a critical government information system. The role emphasizes UI testing, accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG), and cross-browser validation for Java-based web applications.

You will develop test plans, perform functional and regression testing, and collaborate with security teams in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Familiarity with defect tracking systems.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and WCAG/Section 508.
• Experience testing Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Conduct UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios.
• Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure government accessibility standards are met (Section 508/WCAG).
• Test enterprise applications in Windows Server environments.
• Verify security controls and data protection measures.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Perform API testing for backend services (Solr, RESTful services).
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage defect tracking and coordinate issue resolutions.
• Test Tomcat deployments and configurations.
• Test Oracle 19c integrations and data flows.
• Test SAP BI reporting interfaces and outputs.
