Job summary

Base-2 Solutions in Maryland seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer with strong UI testing and backend debugging to ensure quality during modernization of a critical government information system.

You will perform functional/regression testing of Java-based web apps, validate UI accessibility per Section 508/WCAG, and conduct API and database testing with Oracle 19c, Tomcat, Solr, and SAP BI interfaces. Collaboration with security teams is essential in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and US citizenship.
• Extensive experience testing UI web applications (functional/regression).
• Strong UI validation and cross-browser compatibility skills.
• Experience reviewing backend logs to diagnose failures.
• Proficient with defect tracking systems and SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and cases for upgrades and features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web apps.
• Conduct UI validation and cross-browser testing.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios.
• Review and debug backend logs and API services.
• Perform API testing (RESTful) and Solr integration.
• Verify Oracle 19c data integrity and migrations.
• Create and maintain UI automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
