Job summary

DAn Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Software Test Engineer to ensure quality during modernization of a critical government information system. The role targets UI testing, backend debugging, and security/compliance in an on-site/hybrid setup across Annapolis Junction, MD, Washington, DC, or Reston, VA.

The ideal candidate will perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications, validate accessibility and cross-browser compatibility, and troubleshoot backend

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Experience testing web UIs and cross-browser compatibility.
• Proficiency with defect tracking systems.
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries.
• Experience verifying system installation and integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new functionality.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Conduct UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Execute manual testing for complex application scenarios.
• Review and troubleshoot backend logs to identify causes of failures.
• Perform API testing for backend services and RESTful interfaces.
• Execute SQL queries to validate data and integrity.
• Verify system buildout activities (installation, configuration, integration).
• Track, document, and manage defects with development teams.
