Job summary

DAn Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to ensure quality during modernization of a government information system. The role emphasizes UI validation, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility for Java-based web apps, with backend troubleshooting across application and server logs.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Extensive experience performing functional and regression testing of web application user interfaces.
• Strong UI testing experience, including interface validation and cross-browser compatibility.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting backend application failures by reviewing application and server logs to determine the root cause.
• Proficiency with defect tracking systems and SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new functionality.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Conduct UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios and review backend logs to isolate defects.
• Coordinate with developers to track, document, and resolve defects; validate API tests and data integrity.
• Test RESTful services and Solr-backed APIs; run SQL validations.
• Verify installation, configuration, and system buildout activities.
• Track, document, and manage defects with development teams.
