Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop test plans, and execute manual/automated testing across levels, interfacing with government customers daily.

The role requires 2+ years in software testing, Linux proficiency, and strong requirements traceability. On-site, 5 days/week; US citizenship and active Secret clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software/systems testing or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Proven ability to trace requirements to tests and manage test artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
