Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to design, implement, and sustain secure cloud solutions across Azure and AWS for DoD programs at Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. The role combines strategic cloud architecture with hands‑on engineering to build greenfield environments, enable Zero Trust, and ensure RMF compliance.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance at time of hire.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Minimum of five (5) years architecting and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience designing and deploying Azure infrastructure and services.
• Experience architecting hybrid cloud environments integrating on‑prem with Azure and AWS.
• Hands‑on experience with Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Purview, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation).
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash, Azure CLI, AWS CLI.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, Zero Trust, NIST RMF; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure hybrid cloud solutions using Azure and AWS.
• Design greenfield cloud environments to meet DoD mission requirements.
• Develop secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures aligned with DoD cybersecurity guidance and Zero Trust.
• Design and implement IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep/ARM, CloudFormation.
• Manage Microsoft Intune, Defender products, Purview, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Engineer secure networking that connects on‑prem infrastructure with cloud environments.
• Implement cloud monitoring, logging, backup, DR, and security services.
• Automate cloud deployments with PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, or AWS CLI.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and app teams for integrated solutions.
• Support RMF compliance and DoD security policies; contribute to accreditation activities.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and mentor junior engineers.
