Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to design, engineer, and sustain secure hybrid cloud environments across Microsoft Azure and AWS for DoD programs. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and hands‑on experience with cloud architectures, IaC, and endpoint security.

The successful candidate will lead architecture efforts, implement greenfield cloud solutions, and collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and development teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance at time of hire.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Minimum of five (5) years architecting and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Hybrid cloud design integrating on‑premises with Azure and AWS.
• Hands‑on with Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Purview, and AVD.
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation.
• Automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Azure CLI, and AWS CLI.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, Zero Trust, NIST RMF.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure hybrid cloud solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Design and deploy greenfield cloud environments for DoD mission requirements.
• Develop secure, scalable cloud architectures aligned with DoD cybersecurity guidance.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and development teams.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers.
