Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to support DoD cloud modernization initiatives in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. You will architect, design, engineer, and deploy secure hybrid cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS, leading modernization efforts from concept to production in a green-field environment.

The role requires hands-on Azure/AWS experience, IaC proficiency (Terraform/Azure Bicep/ARM Templates/CloudFormation), and strong DoD security knowledge including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance at time of hire.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
• Experience designing hybrid cloud environments with on-prem and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure compute, networking, storage, security, identity, and management services.
• Experience with Entra ID and Enterprise ICAM identities.
• Strong security, Zero Trust, and NIST guidance experience, including SIEM/SOAR integration.
• Proficiency with IaC and cloud automation, scripting in PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and deploy secure hybrid cloud solutions in Azure and AWS.
• Design enterprise cloud architectures for DoD systems and applications.
• Lead technical implementation of cloud modernization initiatives from concept to production.
• Create green-field cloud environments with security, scalability, resilience, and automation.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation.
• Engineer cloud networking integrating on-prem with Azure/AWS.
• Deploy cloud-native security, monitoring, backup, DR, and operations tooling.
• Automate using PowerShell, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, Python.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering to meet DoD security requirements.
• Support cloud roadmaps and strategy for enterprise adoption.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and propose innovative solutions.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to cloud engineers.
